How do you speak?

I found this fun little quiz online and thought you might find it interesting. Ryan and I talk alot about linguistics now that we've moved to another part of the country. And the subtle Michigan accent that we notice more and more the longer we're here. This quiz is more on words used and how they're actually pronounced than accents, but it's fun to think about all the different ways people say the same things!

My Linguistic Profile: (in other words, how Heather talks)

0% Dixie

We broke down and bought a window air conditioner yesterday. So our house is a little more bearable today. I was outside hanging laundry (we still have no dryer) and I couldn't believe how hot it was. Our thermometer said it was 97 and that was only at 1pm. It did actually feel quite a bit cooler inside, our living room clock said it was just over 80 in there. Yesterday it seemed it was a toss up between whether it was warmer inside our house or outside. I think we may see if we can head over to the Huff's pool after the kids wake up. We hung out there pretty much all afternoon on Saturday. I got some cute pictures of the kids, I'll have to try and post some of them one of these days. And from the zoo on Friday.

I have no new SJ quotes to report. Probably because she's not talking to me so much. She's all about gramma right now. She wants gramma to give her her bath, she wants her to tuck her into bed at night, she wants her to color with her and play with her. I heard Savannah accidently call her 'Mom' twice today. So if I eavesdrop and catch something or hear any cute stories secondhand, I'll be sure to pass them on.
