I think this is really it. It's hard to believe the summer is truly over and the long sunny days are gone. We had such a gorgeous weekend! Now it's back to clouds and rain. I've heard from many Michiganders that September, and even into October, is usually still pretty nice and warm... indian summerlike. Doesn't look anything like that around here.
Right now it's 58 degrees outside (that's about the high for today) with clouds and a crisp chilly wind. Brrr! The sun was actually out for a bit this morning, and it was a beautiful drive to Savannah's school. We take some long country back roads to her school all lined with trees and forest. The trees are changing already and the colors were brilliant with the bright blue sky and the sparkling sunshine. I love the changing seasons and I do like the cozy, cooler weather, but it made me a little sad that another summer's gone. No more sprinkler, no more fireflies, no more backyard barbeques, no more eating watermelon and popscicles with Savannah outside. Ryan and I were talking about this the other day, asking each other, "do you think that's it?". We figured one sure way of getting a few more warmer temperatures is to put away our air conditioner and our fans for storage. I'm still holding out for another day or two of summer weather around here. Doesn't hurt to hope, does it?
Happy Fall!
