Lots of pictures for you. I figured they're overdue... I've been subjecting you to way too much of my wordy ramblings. Less words, more pictures. And again, you can click on any picture to see them bigger.
We spent a lot of our time outside the past few days. It's been so nice and sunny and warm. In the 70's both Saturday and Sunday... I love it!!! Of course sunny clear skies also mean really chilly at night (it was 34 degrees at 9 o'clock this morning) but it's just been so pretty!
So I decided to bring the camera out with us this afternoon. And since I did, you get a photo journal of Sawyer's mishap.
I thought it was so beautiful out, I should try and get a few shots of Sawyer to send out for his first birthday. He of course loves being outside, loves playing with Ryan's basketball, and absolutely loves walking around in the grass.
So here he is...
we'd only just gotten outside...
and I just barely had turned my camera on
when the ball rolled a little too far away...
...Sawyer leaned a little too far, and since he was still reaching for his beloved ball, he used his head to land on the driveway. (I didn't actually get the landing on camera because both Ryan and I were lunging for him...)
But here is the next shot...
...liked the ice pack better in the mouth than on the forehead.
Here's a close up of the injuries... kinda hard to see but they'll be a nice goose-egg on his forehead and he scraped up his little nose pretty good.
Doesn't he look like a little bruiser in this picture?
After that he kind of layed low...
and just watched Savannah and Ryan play from the sidelines...
...and a few more hugs from the ball before he's ready to roll again.
Then he was off and running (well, walking stiffly the way new walkers do)
The kids had a blast "helping" Ryan rake up some leaves...
...and getting showered with them...
Ryan says this is a good sight... the reason we had kids. Get 'em started early on the yard work!
And if you're looking for a post from Ryan today, he said to tell you he'll be on tomorrow (I took too long with my pictures tonight). And that he's figured out the video thing so that'll be up tomorrow too.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

GREAT PICTURES!!But when grampa said Sawyer had fallen ,I was almost afraid to look. Not as bad as I thought it would be.WHEW... Poor little guy. Then just hugging the ball and watching.Wonder where he learned to lay his head on a ball?!So glad you guys got some sunshine. Our weekend wasn't as warm or dry.Got the gate finished on the fence at least. Savannah looks so tall and thin!!!(especially next to Sawyer) The pictures were definately worth the wait. THANKS!!! Love to all!XOXOX
Poor little guy! I'm glad you guys got your pics done before that happened! (It seems like EVERY time I decide to get Cade's pics done professionally, he gets a huge bruise or scrape). Thanks for the email - I'm always glad to know more details. I will email you back or try to call soon. We had a super crazy weekend. Love you!
